The Queens Hotel, Cheltenham

The second LEARNing event on May 29th continued the conversation started at Walton Hall, exploring learning and change in the rural context in more depth.  The event included many newcomers as well as some who had taken part on May 1st.

Purpose of the day

The purpose of the event on May 29 was to:

bullet

Identify and analyse situations for learning for purposeful change at the level of the individual and organisation (local, regional, national, international);

bullet

Begin to develop different types of relationships among stakeholders concerned with an increasingly multifunctional agriculture (encompassing agricultural, food, environmental and rural policy and practice) and sustainable rural livelihoods;

bullet

Experience the use of systems tools and techniques to foster participation and social learning.
